Let’s dive in;
1×2/match winner – this is the type of bet where a wager is placed on any of the three possible outcomes of a match including a win, draw or loss. ‘1’represents home win, ‘x’ represents a draw while ‘2’ represent the away team winning.
Accumulator/parlay – is a combination of more than one selection into a single betting slip that require all of them to win for one to receive a payout. Odds are multiplied together, to produce a larger potential payout.
Bet builder – a bet builder is a feature that allows you to combine multiple predictions from the same match. Unlike the common accumulator slips that spans different events in one slip, a bet builder is restricted to only one event. You can place a 1×2 match winner, over/under 2.5 and team with most corners to form one combined bet.
Bet slip – the bet slip is the area on a betting site where your selected bets are stored before being confirmed. It shows your selections, odds, stake amount and potential returns.
Betting market – this refers to the available type of outcomes that bets can be placed on. They include 1×2, both teams to score, total goals, number of corners or player to score anytime.
Bookmaker – is a company that offers online sports betting options. It is the intermediary between the bettor and the traditional sports betting offices.
Bonus – these are rewards offered by the bookmakers to entice and attract bettors into or retain them in their platforms. Some common form of bonus in uganda include welcome bonuses and deposit bonuses.
Both teams to score – is a bet on whether both teams will score at least one goal during a match irrespective of who wins the game or the final result.
Cash out – cash out is a system in betting that allows you to settle your bet before the specific event(s) ends. It helps you to secure profit early and cut losses before a potential defeat. Ash out values change depending on how the match is progressing.
Correct score draw – is a bet that solely focusses on the exact score forecast from a match. You predict what the scoreboard will read at the end.
Double chance (dc) – is the bet where you predict either one team will win or draw or or either or the team will win. It provides for three chances either the home team wins or draws (1/x), away team wins x/2) or draws or one of the two teams wins (1/2).
Draw no bet (dnb) – is a bet that removes the loss risk in case the match ends in a draw. It provides two options either team one wins or team two wins and refunds your stake if the match ends in a draw.
Free bet – is a promotional offer by bookmakers to allow a punter bet without staking personal money. Depending on the different bookmakers, in most cases, you can only withdraw the profit but not the free bet amount itself.
Handicap – is a bet that virtually gives one team an advantage before the match kicks off to make the contest more balanced. The underdog is added a goal or more to create the balance in a 1×2 matc result bet.
Live betting – also called in-play betting is the act of placing bets during a live event when action is unfolding. This is real-time action where odds keep fluctuating with the flow of an event or match.
Odd boost – these are promotional offers by bookmakers to increase your odds for selected fixtures. In Uganda the most famous is the winning boost that is offered to reduce the loss due to the 15% winning tax cut by the government.
Odds – is simply the probability or likelihood that a result will happen to that of an alternative option and the amount you can win if your prediction is correct.
Outright bet – is a bet that predicts the ultimate winner of a competition or tournament rather than a particular match often done before the tournament kicks off or with several rounds remaining.
Over/under – this is a type of bet that basically predicts whether te total number of goals that are expected to be scored in a amtch will be above (over) or below (under) a certain limit. The most common market is over 2.5.
Payout – is the total amount of money paid to you when your bet wins and includes your original stake and the profit you’ve made out of a winning bet.
Prop bets – these are bets on events in a match that don’t necessarily affect the final result like betting on kylian mbappe to score anytime.
Single bet – a single bet is a betting slip is placed on only one outcome.
Sports calendar – a sports betting calendar is a preview of upcoming or running competitions, key match periods and seasonal timelines that helps punters plan strategically.
Stake – is the amount of money that is placed on a bet either a single bet or multiple bet.

Void bet – this is a bet that is cancelled by the bookmaker and either your stake is returned to you in case of single bets or equated to 1.0 in multiple selections.
